Recently, customs from Ecuador's Industrial Pesquera Santa Priscila S.A.(Registration No. 24887), Empacreci S.A.(Registration No. 681), Empacadora Del Pacifico Sociedad Anonima Edpacif S.A.(Registration No. 654) Six samples from the inner wall and outer package of the container of frozen shrimp imported by three enterprises were detected positive for COVID-19 nucleic acid, and the test results of the shrimp body and inner package samples were negative。After nucleic acid sequence analysis and expert judgment, the test results indicate that the container environment and the outer packaging of the products of the three enterprises are at risk of being contaminated by the novel coronavirus, and the food safety management system of the enterprises is not in place。In order to eliminate potential risks and protect the health of the people, in accordance with the provisions of the Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China and its implementing regulations, as well as relevant customs regulations, the following announcements are hereby made:
I. Suspension of the registration of the above three enterprises in China。
Second, suspend the import of the products of the above three enterprises, and suspend the import declaration of the products of the three enterprises。
The importer shall immediately recall the frozen shrimp produced by the above three enterprises after March 12, return and destroy the frozen shrimp produced by the above three enterprises after March 12, and provide the import and sales records of the goods to the customs of the place of import。In case of refusal, the Customs shall deal with such refusal in accordance with the provisions of the Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China and its implementing regulations, as well as relevant Customs regulations。
This announcement shall come into effect as of the date of promulgation。
